Did you know? The term Long Term Support Version (LTS version for short) stands for the long-term support of a specific version over a longer, fixed period of time. LTS versions of waveware® will be released at intervals of 12 months and supplied with security updates and bug fixes for 18 months at a time. This means that a major update will only be required every one and a half years. For whom is the LTS version worthwhile? The LTS version is aimed at customers who do not always need the latest features and place more value on consistency and simplified update processes.

Did you know? For waveware® there is not only the bright Basic Mode, but also a stylish Dark Mode, which some users find more pleasant for the eyes, and not just at dark times of day. It can be easily set in the Windows client. To do this, click on Extras and select “Dark” under Designs.

Did you know? If an asterisk * is entered in the waveware® search bar, all existing entries in the respective category are displayed. This function is available in all waveware® application clients and makes it easier to gain a quick insight into the objects in the respective category.

 Did you know? The waveware® WEB client can be installed as a Windows app via browser (Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome) and is thus always at hand. The advantages: The waveware® WEB client opens independently of the browser in its own window and works like a Windows application. That makes it possible to pin the app to the taskbar and start it with one click. This is how it works: Open the WEB client in Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome and click on the add or download icon in the address bar on the right.

Did you know? Catalogs can be pinned to the top menu area so that they are always visible there. To do this, simply search for the desired catalog in the catalog search in the waveware® Windows client and right-click to add it as a favorite. This way, frequently used catalogs are always at hand.

Did you know? In the card view, clicking on [Ctrl] in combination with the “Previous” or “Next” button opens the first or last data record. This works in both the waveware® Web and Windows clients. A simple click on “Previous” or “Next” opens the previous or next data record as usual.

Recently, a security hole in the Java library “Log4j” became known. Our users can rest assured: neither waveware® nor visual FM are affected by the security hole. Java is not used in either software system. Further details have been made available by the BSI. Learn more

In the current publication (December 2020), the trade magazine DER FACILITY MANAGER reports on the software deployment of waveware® at DATEV eG. Particularly exciting: the article shows the important position of the human factor in software implementation. It also provides special insights into the cooperation between DATEV and Loy & Hutz.

The recently released version waveware® 11.180 offers numerous new packages, extensions and features. Learn how our application clients benefit from optimized interfaces and performance increases. Furthermore, the waveware® system gets revised features like an extended calendar, new rights, an updated DMS and much more. Last but not least, version 11.180 is the starting point for many new extension packages.

Defective heating, missing equipment, vehicle reservation or PC problem: requests of any kind require professional handling. But how does a fault report reach the right contact person in the fastest way? It’s simple: with the digital ticket system/helpdesk TICKET from waveware®. TICKET offers a simple way to enter requests on a PC, smartphone or tablet. The system processes tickets automatically and forms the basis for follow-up processes.

The Loy & Hutz Group was the first CAFM manufacturer to successfully certify all 17 criteria catalogs with its CAFM software wave Facilities. In 2020, the previous 15 criteria catalogs were joined by two new areas: Workplace Management and Contract Management. The CAFM solution from Loy & Hutz was able to meet both of the new areas and their audit criteria at the first attempt during the regular certification process.
